Client Challenge

The client put new design requirements into place that impact the cup holder and puddle lamp assembly of its current lighting products.

Our Solution

We designed a new puddle lamp holder for the client by modifying the original design of the lighting product. Per the new design requirement, the product’s complete assembly was modified after a series of design and review with the client. After the proposed lighting product model was complete, we sent the CAD data for CAE analysis to evaluate stress. Since most of the models are composed of plastic components, we conducted analyses of the gating systems, die draw directions, and injection molding feasibility.
