Dr. Ravi Kumar

Dr. Ravi Kumar is President and Chief Information Officer of RGBSI, where he has led enterprise technology, cybersecurity, and global business transformation since 2003. Over more than two decades at the helm, he has driven innovation across RGBSI’s portfolio of brands and service lines – including engineering, aerospace consulting, software development, digital solutions, and staffing – aligning them into a coordinated, high-performance ecosystem. His leadership pairs bold modernization with operating discipline, enabling RGBSI to scale internationally while protecting critical client and internal systems.

With 27+ years in technology and management, Ravi’s career began as a Software Developer at Electronic Data Systems and progressed through IBM Global Services as a Senior IT Specialist, Lead Software Developer, and Analyst. Those roles built a foundation in delivering mission-critical platforms at scale. At RGBSI, he has translated that experience into measurable outcomes: strengthening cybersecurity governance across distributed teams, accelerating secure digital transformation to improve delivery speed and reliability, and optimizing IT operations to raise resilience, compliance, and customer trust. His approach consistently links emerging technology to practical business value, ensuring innovation advances growth rather than introducing unmanaged risk.

Ravi holds a Doctor of Engineering (D.Eng.) in Cybersecurity Analytics from The George Washington University’s School of Engineering & Applied Science, where his doctoral research advanced efficient, multi-agent machine-learning methods for binary DDoS detection. He also earned an MBA from Michigan State University and a bachelor’s degree in electrical and computer engineering from Wayne State University. He remains focused on expanding RGBSI’s technology roadmap through secure innovation, data-driven growth, and globally integrated execution.
