Sourab Hegde accepted an award honoring RGBSI and his work supporting an RGBSI contract employee service member.

The Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) has honored RGBSI employee Sourab Hegde, Engineering Staffing Leader, with the Service Member Patriot Award. The award is presented to individuals who provided support directly to the nominating service member or his/her family. According to the ESGR website, the award “reflects the efforts made to support Citizen Warriors through a wide-range of measures.”

Hegde was nominated by a contract employee who he helped return to the same position after her ESGR training. The employee stated, “When I returned from training, the company I had been working for tried to deny my re-employment. Mr. Hegde and RGBSI began negotiating with my former employer immediately, and began submitting my resume for similar positions as well. Thanks to Mr Hegde’s hard work, I was able to return to my former position with a salary increase.”

The award was presented to Hegde by Mike Francis, Ombudsman of Michigan on March 13, 2014. Hegde’s award was accompanied by a Statement of Support for the Guard and Reserve for RGBSI. RGBSI is proud to support service men and women in roles throughout our organization.

The ESGR was established to promote cooperation and understanding between Reserve Component Service members and their civilian employers. Supported by a network for nearly 5,000 volunteers, the organization promotes employer support for those in military service in the Guard and Reserve.

101 Best and Brightest Sustainable Companies

RGBSI has been named to Michigan’s “101 Best and Brightest Sustainable Companies” list for 2013. The list is compiled by Corp! magazine, Davenport University, and dmStrategists.

The 101 Best and Brightest Sustainable Companies program celebrates organizations that inspire and produce green technology. The program honors companies that are dedicated to sustainability in the workplace. Those recognized are leaders in improving the lives of their employees and are committed to improving local and global environments.

Companies are nominated by individuals and are evaluated in the following categories: education, communication, strategic planning, innovation, community leadership, building and grounds, financial performance. Those companies that receive the highest amount of points are selected as winners.

Michigan Governor Rick Synder spoke at the 101 Best and Brightest Sustainable Companies Award Ceremony.

RGBSI’s sustainable initiatives include moving to an electronic signature process for all human resources paperwork, eliminating paper waste; instituting company wide recycling policies; exchanging disposable paper products for washable cups and plates in offices; installing motion sensor activated lights to conserve energy; and installing NEST energy wi-fi thermostats for all global locations to better conserve energy resources.

RGBSI formally received their award on September 18, 2013 at Davenport University in Grand Rapids. Michigan Governor Rick Synder was in attendance to honor the winners.

August 20, 2013 – For the fourth time, RGBSI has been named to Inc. Magazine’s 5000 Fastest Growing Private Companies List. The list puts RGBSI at #668, its highest ranking to date.

This is the fourth year that RGBSI has been featured. The company first debuted on the list in 2009 at #4858. It was next featured in 2011 at #2392 and 2012 at #999. In addition to its #670 ranking, RGBSI was also ranked #25 on the Top 100 Human Resources Companies, #7 on the Top 100 Michigan Companies, and #6 in the Detroit Metro Area. This year’s list marks the third consecutive year RGBSI has appeared.

Since first debuting in 2009, RGBSI has grown significantly and has been steadily climbing the ranks. Its recent ranking solidifies its position among the best of the best. The company joins the likes of newly ranked growing companies like LivingSocial, OtterBox, Alex and Ani, and KT Tape, and recent alumni like Microsoft, Jamba Juice, Timberland, Pandora, and Patagonia.

RGBSI has been named one of Crain’s Detroit Business Fastest Growing Companies. The list of 49 local Metro-Detroit companies was selected based on their dollar amount of revenue growth between 2009 and 2012, and by percentage revenue growth during the same period. RGBSI ranked number 47, with a 249% increase in revenue. RGBSI joins the ranks of companies like Quicken Loans, Chrysler Group, and General Motors.

Their growth can be attributed to their diversification. RGBSI named 2013 “Fast 50 Asian American Business” by USPAACC

GARDEN GROVE, CALIFORNIA – RGBSI was recently named a 2013 “Fast 50 Asian American Business” by the US Pan Asian American Chamber of Commerce (USPAACC). RGBSI’s Ravi Kumar accepted the award during the CelebrAsian Procurement Opportunity Conference at the Hyatt Regency Orange County in Garden Grove, California.

The “Fast 50 Asian American Business” award recognizes high-revenue generating, fast growing Asian American controlled businesses. In the last fiscal year, the USPAACC’s Fast 50 Asian American Businesses generated almost $4 billion in revenue with up to a 205% growth rate. RGBSI joined the ranks among businesses from a wide variety of industries, including supply chain management, healthcare, professional staffing, food wholesale, IT, green energy, and more.

To qualify for the award, a company must be at least 51 percent owned, controlled, and managed by one or more Asian Americans with at least $1 million in annual revenue in the immediate past three fiscal years of operation. Each qualifying company is ranked based on the percentage revenue growth over three years, with the finalists independently verified by Ernst and Young.

U.S. Commerce Association’s Award Plaque Honors the Achievement

NEW YORK, NY, May 8, 2013 — For the sixth consecutive year, RGBSI has been selected for the 2013 Best of Madison Heights Award in the Business Management Consultants category by the U.S. Commerce Association (USCA).

The USCA “Best of Local Business” Award Program recognizes outstanding local businesses throughout the country. RGBSI Earns Recognition for Supplier Excellence at the 2013 Agile•1 Customer Forum

Torrance, CA, April 26, 2013 – RGBSI, today announced that it was recognized by Agile•1 as part of the company’s Supplier Excellence awards. This award proved the tremendous value that RGBSI brings to its clients, by providing them with the best candidates and services. The award was revealed during a special dinner at the 2013 Agile•1 Customer Forum which took place in Orlando, Florida on April 25. RGBSI was awarded the Silver Supplier of the Year Award.

“It was truly an honor for RGBSI to be invited and be presented with an award this evening. We feel privileged to be in the company of other award recipients and all the Agile.1 Staff members,” said Ravi Kumar, VP of Global Services at RGBSI.
